The Faculty of Education at UBC is proud to host the Annual Conference of the Canadian Society for the Study of Education (CSSE) from June 1 to 5, 2019. We expect over 1200 delegates from across Canada to attend this bilingual conference, which is held in conjunction with the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. For more information:

  • • Free access to all CSSE sessions and Congress Open Events while wearing your volunteer T-shirt

  • • A personalized volunteer acknowledgement letter from the UBC Local Arrangements Coordinators

We need your help!

Are you passionate about educational research? Enjoy helping people? Why not help organize the largest education conference in Canada? We are seeking volunteers to help with all sorts of conference-related tasks, including:

  • • Greeting
  • • Wayfinding
  • • Troubleshooting
  • • Catering logistics
  • • AV logistics
  • • Social media
  • • Translation facilitation
  • • Tech wizard (using the conference app)

We are looking for lots of people with lots of different skills. Here’s what we ask you to do:

    1. Click here to apply
    2. Commit to at least two 4-hour shifts during the conference
    3. Attend a volunteer orientation session in May:
      1. Thursday May 23rd: 10:30-12:0
      2. Online Option
